Week 16

Hello!

So, supposedly I will have a new "abdominal organ," and the associated bump, anytime now but so far baby looks more like pudge than preggo. They say it can take a little while longer with your first one, so I should enjoy having a "waist" while I can. I did break down and get a pair of maternity yoga pants that are the BEST THINGS EVER! I can fold the top of them down "yoga style" now, and then pull it up to hold the baby bump when it finally makes it's appearance. They are the most comfortable things I will ever be able to wear to work. :)

Earlier this week I think we may have had confirmed movement: it did feel a little bit like popcorn popping in there, or a really, really sturdy butterfly, and Sean was able to feel it from the outside. I have my next doctor's appointment next week, and should have another sonogram a few weeks after that, so I guess we'll continue to see.

This week I was pretty disappointed with my newsletters; baby is the length of a tube of mascara, roughly, and about the size of an avocado. These are good references, I guess, but no where near as cute as some of the other ones they've come up with. However, today I found a link to the "man's guide to baby sizes" and munchkin is now the size of a small studfinder. :) Next week, hockey puck!
