Back from the Babymoon

Hello!

We are back from Florida and being responsible (mostly) people again, hence the paint in my hair, again, as we continue to work on the nursery/office rooms. Watching other people's rugrats in Disney World was....interesting, but now that we are home our pets are making sure we get some parenting practice: Benson has a tummy ache, again, and the cat's favorite place to cuddle is right between me and Sean, regardless of where we are sitting and/or what we are doing. She's so cute. :)

Florida was tiring but much fun, and much food! We were able to get the Disney dining plan for free because of a promotion they were doing so we each got 2 meals and a snack for free each day. We thought it was a great deal when we bought the tickets, but now we know that the dining plan is AWESOME when you can get it for free. :) The first "sitdown" meal we had would have cost $80 (the rest were around $50-$70) and each of the "quick meals" we got were around $20 to $30. I don't know how much the dining plan would have been if we'd had to pay for it, but not only was all of the food really good, it was a lot more convenient than getting a car and going to Wally's like we did last year, especially since Sean seems to like warm food. The rides I could go on were fine, the rides that Sean got to go on were probably even better because he didn't have to worry about strong-arming me onto them, but munckin always seems to be hungry, so we really enjoyed the food. I won't compare the lasagna mom makes to the one I got at the Italy restaurant in Epcot, but I will say Mom's lasagna normally isn't served by an Italian waiter that neither Sean nor I totally understood. :)

The other plus about the dining plan was supposed to be the extra $$ for shopping, but I was very good this year; almost everything we got was actually presents for other people for various holidays. I found the best shirt for Samantha; my mom is going to love it. :) One thing we did get for us (thank you Mindy!) was a nice big Chinese fan with a dolphin painted on it that we will hang (high) on the wall in the dining room. We also got baby stuff; a Tigger onesie and a Tigger rattle. Apparently Tigger and Pluto are the best for "neutral" colors (even Pooh was pink!), and we like Tigger better than Pluto. The nursery and everything is still fishy; they just didn't have little Nemo onesies and rattles.

We have relatively little baby news, which is probably good, because it means an uneventful trip. This week the little one's ears and eyes are supposed to be migrating to the appropriate areas and the munchkin is about as long as a KitKat "finger" which leads me to ask...why must all of my pregnancy newsletters compare the mini Whaley to food? :)
