Week 18

Hello!

Last Friday I had my monthly appointment and our little baked potato was still in there. :) I had hoped that Sean would be able to hear the heartbeat too, but apparently I was supposed to mention that to the nurse first; my bad. On the plus side, he will be able to come with me for the 20 week ultrasound on October 16!!! Hopefully the munchkin will cooperate, and we may be able to get a peek at the goods (fingers crossed!)

I feel big but most people I run into still don't realize I've got the munchkin, so we're still waiting for the big "pop." Apparently it may take a little longer because my insides are tilted, but the doctor was able to find the heartbeat a lot quicker at the last appointment, so the munchkin may be straightening out. This week munchkin is a pickle, and supposedly has ears (no more bad words, so it's a good thing dad finished all that assembly.)

This weekend we were busy but productive, especially Sean, who hung the new curtains and blinds, so the nursery is officially ready for furniture. It looks pretty empty, but we will be waiting until at least after the baby shower before we kick into high gear with most of that stuff. There is a GIANT consignment sale for baby clothes at the end of this month that we may go to, but munchkin isn't going to need that many clothes and mom finally found a pair of maternity jeans over the weekend at Burlington Coat Factory.

Bye for now and hopefully big news next week!

Pat the pickle for me!! I hope the pickle allows you a peek at it's "pickle-privates" so you can let us know if we buy girlie stuff or boy stuff. :-)

    lots of love,
